I'm Rachel, and I'm in pursuit of bringing fine art into everyday life.

Since early childhood, I've been scribbling in the margins. Expressing visual art in accessible ways has been the cornerstone of my creative endeavors all of my life. This journey has taken me from an avid art student, to a career in commercial interior design, to small business ownership as a painter and illustrator.

I'm a lifetime Kansas Citian, and this particular place is a big reason I believe in the power of home; in how transformative the details can be in adding deep meaning to life's ordinary moments. The little embellishments on your Grandma's vintage dinnerware, the handwritten notes from Mom in your scrapbooks, Dad's lopsided tomato plant next to the kitchen window: it all adds dimension and character to the fabric of our lives. That's worth capturing.

Enter: Hewitt Studio, your one-stop shop for the hand-drawn details that capture the essence of your story. Originating in 2017 as Hewitt + Company, I created authentic, memorable details for hundreds of brides and event planners with hand-lettered wedding signage.

When the wedding industry hit pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, I opened Hewitt Studio, offering hand-drawn and painted portraits of people's homes, pets, and memorabilia. To date, I have painted over 200 homes across the country, and a growing number of pets, places, and special objects. (You can now book a commissioned piece in my new ONLINE SHOP!)​

In 2025, I'm celebrating 8 years in business with some rebranding and organization. I've consolidated both brands and their services under Hewitt Studio. This allows me more room for growth -- after all, my services and artwork styles are continuing to be shaped by YOU, so don't hesitate to ask for something not currently in my listed offerings!
